This second and “contemporary” edition of 1001 Vrouwen is again a great example of a book as a product: it contains an optimal functionality for encyclopedic (re)search. However, despite the quantity of information presented on the pages, the design remains clear and structured. It was interesting to see how this sequel was dealt with and if it could keep up with the excellent first edition; the answer is yes. The brightly colored sections are a self-evident navigation method and the contrasting thin paper is very pleasing and provides a good sense of the huge number of women who that deserve to be mentioned. The color pages divide the book into five parts according to five time frames. It lightness to book that has the compact size of a brick.
