RAAVBJERG did not pass the jury unanimously but still succeeded to make its place to the top selection. There was discussion about the cover and the fact it didn’t reflect at all the inside. Showing the transformation of the landscape of North Jutland because of climate change, we felt something urgent and peaceful at the same time. The layout and dynamic of it is rich with full image series of the landscape using Japanese binding that start on one page and ends on another. Smaller archive pictures balance the pages while bringing us visual information from the past, but what really stands out are the interludes of text written in a gothic style with silver ink on black paper. It, weirdly enough, matches amazingly well with the rest of the content. It makes the book more complete, more unique.
