Very simple design, but beautiful in its simplicity. Bron perfectly conveys the water crisis in South Africa and questions how urban citizens relate to a changing earth. The dry, rough inside cover, with the red toned images and the countdown page numbering represents the dryness that has been happening since this crisis started. While the sections explaining and illustrating the supplies needed and used to resource water are printed on soft paper, similarly to the photographs capturing said sources which have a bit of a blue hue, we thought it really conveyed a hopeful feeling compared to the roughness of the rest of the book. We did agree that at first impression you wouldn’t find it such an impactful book, but once you learn the concept everything fits and its importance evaluates it so much more.
