The book brings together the artworks and the life story of Frida Kahlo, as well as additional essays and context. Through the colourful, scrapbook-like editing approach, Kahlo’s art and politics are made accessible to a broad audience, beyond the typical “museum elite”. Goofy and bold at some points, the book gets serious when it needs to and seamlessly shifts tone when necessary. Throughout the book, a lot of easter eggs are implemented, like the double image printed on the fore-edge. Viva la Frida!
