Ukraine – Hundred Hidden Faces is a great, respectful publication with a daring,-immensely important topic. The strong cover and binding, with the fragile newspaper-like pages perfectly shows the strength of the Ukrainians who took up arms at the outbreak of the war with Russia, even though they were just ordinary citizens like us. None of their faces are shown for safety – reasons, which makes this book even more impactful, especially because the attention isn’t subtracted from them, but highlighted with the full-page images and, considering the size of the book, it gives more importance and awe to the strength of these people. On the other hand, we did find it a bit of a shame that the original written answers have been covered by the other 6 translations. We understood that it’s meant to be inclusive, but not allowing readability for the people who’d understand the original answers, excludes them in a way.
