The brick as a symbol of contestation, vandalism, fight, – protest. Absolutely every detail is on point from the bi-color choice : neon yellow and silver as an allusion to the « gilet jaune » movement in France, to the fluorescent plastic foil use for the cover, the stitching and colors of the threads. Even the typographies used are originally made for signages from France, the Netherlands, Germany and UK, and all the texts are written in the languages of these countries. It is crazy and at the same time really touching to see such a – popular, ongoing crisis treated with such care, finesse and beauty without taking away the meaning of it. None of us saw this topic documented that way before.
