Olafur Eliasson Versailles

For a designer, it is quite a task to translate the work of an artist into an artist’s book in such a way that the designer doesn’t merely reduce the artist’s choices to a book form or let the design compete with the work. In this book, the designer found the right friction with the artist. Browsing through this book you not only look at images, but you really start to see them, experience them. By touching the paper you feel its tactile quality, which evokes a certain mood, close to the mood of experiencing Olafur Eliasson’s work without being too obvious, without trying to replace it, but by extending this feeling in the form of a book.
